A pair of muddy boots can bring so much joy.
Recovery stories like Rina’s are so inspiring.
I owe so much to the power of recovery stories because it was a recovery story that convinced my wife to take a Lightning Process training after 7 years with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. Back then, we had tried so much and I was feeling pretty hopeless. My wife however, never gave up hope. Her mantra was that,
“If someone else can do it – so can I”
Those days of daily struggles & searching for answers feel like another life time ago. That’s what I want for you.
I want YOU to look back and smile as you remember the days when you USED to feel so stuck. Then look around you and feel gratitude and health.
Recently, a former Lightning Process graduate Rina, sent me a lovely catch-up which tells that journey. It perfectly illustrates what’s possible.
“Hi Ian,
Attached is a photo I meant to send you a month ago, as I looked down and it bought tears of joy to my eyes.
When I was sick, there was a sale on my favourite brand of hiking boots, and though I could barely walk from the car to the shop- I bought the boots in hope that one day things would change.
Wow did things change – thanks to the LP.
And I’ve worn those boots in many places, and for many adventures. But last month I looked down and my boots were picking up a kg of mud every few steps as I followed behind ngo workers showing me awesome community projects in Ethiopia- where I was visiting- and I was having so much fun trying so many new things in this country – totally foreign to me. And my heart just about popped with gratitude and joy.
These muddy boots represent so much . Thank you for your part in it Ian!”
